Teaching
I have experience teaching courses and facilitating workshops on topics including introduction to gender and sexuality studies, social media and social justice, gender and law, and digital feminist movements and rights.
I draw from critical feminist pedagogy to center the values of self-reflexivity, and critical (un)learning in the classroom. Being committed to bridging education and praxis in my classroom, assignments and projects in my class include a mix of traditional writing assignments as well as public facing creative projects to help students translate theoretical concepts into community engaged digital/offline feminist action projects.
I am always looking for opportunities to teach and engage with learners - please reach out to me riddhima.rs@gmail.com.

Semester: Summer
Offered: 2021
This six-week online course "Social Media, Social Justice and Gender" explores the ways in which social justice movements like #MeToo, #BlackLivesMatter (and manymore!) utilize the affordances of social media platforms to organize, raise awareness, and build communities in the US and across the world. Additionally, we will explore the kinds of challenges that activists face in using social media for social justice efforts.
